Hi, I’m Jess. I’m 29, a proud single mum to a beautiful daughter, and the founder of It Starts With You. A coaching business dedicated to empowering women to reclaim their strength and transform their lives. My journey to becoming an empowerment coach started long before I began coaching—it started with my own healing, growth, and the decision to stop letting life happen to me.

In my 20’s, I became one of the first professional domestic violence advocates working alongside a police force, guiding and supporting those who have been through the most challenging times of their lives. Who have suffered and been impacted by an abusive partner. I was passionate about the work I did, educating and helping both victims and professionals navigate the complexities of abuse. But, as powerful as that work was, I soon realised that my mission went beyond the police force—it was bigger than I had ever imagined. My purpose is to empower, inspire, and uplift women on a much wider scale, to bring together professionals, and create a united community of women who are ready to make a difference—not just individually, but collectively.

But here’s the thing—while I was helping others, I was burning myself out. Outside of my 9-to-5 job, I was exhausted. I wasn’t fully present for my daughter, constantly running on empty, and feeling like I had nothing left to give. I realised I couldn’t continue living this way. It wasn’t sustainable. That’s when I decided to make a change. I knew the work had to start with me. I needed to see my own worth, to understand that the power to change my life had always been inside of me—and so does yours.

This is why I’m here today... To help you recognise your own inner power, to stop seeking validation outside of yourself, and to start living with purpose. You don’t need anyone or anything else to fix your life. It starts with YOU. You have the power to change your life for the better, to take control and create a future that aligns with who you truly are. 

You’re here because you know something needs to change. And that’s exactly why I’m here—to walk beside you as you make that shift. I’ve been where you are. I’ve felt the exhaustion, the overwhelm, the sense of being lost. But I chose to take my power back, and so can you.
